From stage to storefront Christmas 2009 in Warren, Pennsylvania will offer holiday fans a special treat this year, starting with the lighting of the City Christmas Tree Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m, complete with horse-drawn trolley rides.
Area musicians will fill the air with tunes of glad tidings as part of the Christmas Walk just before the tree lighting at the municipal building while the Struthers Theatre presents its "Best Christmas Pageant Ever" through Sunday, Dec. 6. A special Christmas House has been constructed just for Santa on Liberty Street. And local residents are stringing up lights throughout the city to spread cheer during the darkest days of the Winter Solstice. Don't miss the string quartet at Authors Books & Music on Liberty Street.
And for those who missed the Christmas Parade floats from the 1939 Warren celebration, a special recreation of the event will be unveiled this year.
