"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" (also titled "The Worst Kids In The World" in Australia, New Zealand and the UK), was a book written by Barbara Robinson in 1972. It tells the story of 6 children (the Herdmans) who are poorly behaved, delinquent and violent. They go to church for the first time merely because they believe that snacks are handed out at Sunday School. Instead, they find themselves involved in the annual Christmas Play. A perfect set up for a disaster.
Thirty minutes prior to each performance, there will be special holiday entertainment on stage and in the lobby and Friend’s Room. On Friday, December 4th there will be a special performance at 8:15 PM, immediately following Main Street’s Christmas parade and festivities. Volunteers are needed to enhance this year's Christmas Walk and can call 723-1360 for details, especially musicians and artists.
Other performances of the Christmas play are Thursday, December 3rd at 7:00PM, Saturday, December 5th at 7:00PM and Sunday, December 6th at 2:00PM.
Tickets are $10 adults and $8 for seniors and students and are available at the theater ticket office during business hours or by calling 723-7231.
Tickets are also available one hour prior to performance at the box office.
