The Allegheny National Forest (ANF) has issued a prospectus soliciting applications for a concession special use permit for seven highly developed recreation areas (Willow Bay, Tracy Ridge, Red Bridge, Kiasutha, Elijah Run, Dewdrop and Twin Lakes). A permit(s) to provide high-quality public service in the operation and maintenance of these government-owned recreation facilities located on both the Bradford and Marienville Ranger Districts may be issued.
All proposals and applications must be submitted to Leanne Marten, Forest Supervisor, Attention Jim Seyler, 4 Farm Colony Drive, Warren, Pennsylvania 16365. Proposals and applications must be received by close of business (4:30 p.m. ET) on December 19, 2008. Applicants must submit four copies of their application package and supporting documents.

Applicants may submit an application for one, some or all of the recreation areas offered in the prospectus. These recreation areas would be available starting in the 2009 use season. A special use permit(s) may be issued starting in 2009 for five years. The permit shall expire at midnight on December 31, 2013. The permit term may be extended up to five years to 2018 by amendment at the sole discretion of the authorized officer based on sustained satisfactory performance or administrative need.
