At least 70 people attended the Grand Opening of the Warren County for Obama Headquarters at the historic Tybout House on Market Street in Warren Saturday. The National Obama Coordinator for Warren County, Frank Poppe, announced from the 117 Market Street headquarters today that the Obama campaign set a fundraising record in August with $66 million collected from 2.5 million supporters, including 500,000 people who had not yet made any donations. He said the national campaign now has $77 million in cash on hand for the November 4 election. Locally, the campaign will sponsor a non-partisan voter registration drive and door-to-door canvassing, in addition to supplying yard signs for Warren and Clarion Counties. At Saturday's Grand Opening, 53 voters signed up to help out in the campaign, he said. Read more here.
